Already in 2010 high fashion designers like Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera or Angel Sanchez were marking the waists of his Bridal Collections with thin blue belt ribbons, but then in 2011 colour exploded in designers’ workshops worldwide so we now see something more dared than light pink and ivory.
Designers and specialized stores are showing, besides the unpolluted white gowns, some extraordinary dresses in unimaginable tones: red, black, mallow, turquoise. It is not just the details in silver in the waist of Pronovias’ dresses; nowadays, next to a marvellous garment champagne with details of brocades in bronze we find others in solid olive green or passion red.
We should mention Rosa Clara’s impressive black wedding dress with an asymmetric, finished satiny neckline and an alone sleeve of gauze with embroideries of flowers or her ultramodern note with an asymmetric skirt that allows seeing the legs of the bride, a real provocation.
In the same trend, the firm Cymbeline became an icon with its emblematic model Evilou, a bold wedding dress with princess cut and a neckline “word of honor”, in white and black squares, tulle and black underskirt. An original and even daring approach.
Franc Sanabria did not want to stay aside of the trend and designed a dressed in blue turquoise with black laces, happy and elegantly, whereas in Catalonia, Jordi Dalmau ignites his designs with a solid red model, and extended his selection with purple, gray, green, with very original models, full of creativity, thought for a modern bride trying to look different.
