Romance is alive
The choice of romantic clothes is endless…embroidered lace dresses, tulle skirts, flowing lace trousers, sheer off-the-shoulder tops and Victorian inspired crinkled or plain chiffon blouses. Designers have chosen to wear their hearts on their sleeves this season, with dreamy outfits that scream romance and femininity. Indulge in the look of modern love, lush yet lean, flowing but not afloat. Do not despair if you can not bear to wear such girlie clothes from head to toe, even the slightest trim – a lace choker, shoe or bracelet- teamed with a plain trouser suit or jeans works just as well.
French chic is one of the biggest trends this Seaton some serious inspiration. Corsets, Basques, lace trims, frills, petticoats, fishnets, anything that clearly screams “woman!” or “hourglass!” makes up this look.
The best news about all of this is the return of corsets /Basques. Although slightly umcomfortable, you can rest assured that you will be held in a pushed out at the right places. A heaving bosom and nipped in waist…..wow! What better way to capture a crowd?
The French look also featured on the catwalks, with silk blouses, chiffon dresses and full skirts taking centre stage.
Singing the blues
Denim is so funky and chic these days, that it is acceptable for dinner dates to parties, and even for work; accessorized, sparkly or patchwork boot-cut or hipster jeans and minis are as popular as ever. Denim is now moving into girlish tucked, puff-armed jackets and fitted, pleated skirts and dresses. Splendid! With a wide range of washes available, our advice is do not mix and match denims.
