Italy is sinonimous for fashion, and when talking about the city of Milan in particular, it means men elegance as well. In this city we find the headquarters of a company that encompasses it all. A visionary entrepreneur, Ermenegildo Zegna founded this firm and gave it more than his name, on 1910, and since then it has been a firmly growing family business. It all started in Trivero, in the Alpine foothills near Biella, where he set up the Lanificio Zegna (wool mill).
The founder had an international vision, decided to acquire the best quality natural fibres from their country of origin, insisted in innovation both about products themselves and in the production process and was a firm believer in promotion of the brand as an important step through success. This vision produced at the end one of Italy’s most acclaimed family driven enterprises.
The Lanificio continues, feed with the best natural fabrics, including merino wool from Australia‘s best farms, and goes through all the manufacturing process until the sale of their products directly at their 555 mono brand stores worldwide. With revenues totalling around 800 million euros and more than 7,000 employees, it is certainly a well established business.
Whereas at first the firm was known for their suits and jackets, today Zegna produces also shirts, underwear and men accessories, together with fragrances, eye-wear and, in association with Salvatore Ferragamo, shoes and belts.
In Spain you can find Ermenegildo Zegna’s stores in the main commercial streets and commercial centres of the most important cities. You can also visit its online store.
