Cibeles Fashion Week 2011

Madrid Fashion Week

Madrid Fashion Week

This Friday the 18th, and up to February the 23rd, Madrid will host the 53rd edition of Pasarela Cibeles, one of the World´s most important fashion show rooms nowadays. The exhibition will start with the designs of Jesus del Pozo on the Lancia Room, followed by Duyos and by Angel Schlesser. Great expectations for the exhibition of designers Victorio & Lucchino, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada (both to be held on Saturday the 19th) and Adolfo Domínguez (in the afternoon of Sunday the 20th). If you want to see the complete schedule, please go to http://www.ifema.es/ferias/cibeles/default.html (there is an English version, too). This present edition has introduced a new event, the so called “off” exhibitions, those closed to general public and opened to selected guests by invitation only (they begin today with “Alvarno”, an exhibition of the combined work of Alvaro Castejon and Arnaud Milliard). As last 5 years in a row,  El Ego will be presented, too. This is a parallel show room for young and new designers, where people can also buy the designs directly, something not common in these kind of events. In addition to exhibition rooms, Cibeles has different spaces, some patronized by recognized brands, like the Yo Dona models academy, the Espacio Adidas y Nespresso, or the Kissing Room by Grey-Goose. By the way, El Ego will broadcast all the exhibitions via streaming on the web of the exhibition so, in case anyone is not be able to attend,  an opportunity has been set to see the model  parades as if seated on the front row.
